It looks like a genuine sword.It also looks like a marriage of a nickel scabbard with an aluminum sword ie arts sword.Better pictures would give you a more definitive answer.

Quickdraw, $1100.00 dollars (US) for a mismatched Luftwaffe sword? When I look at it: The upper scabbard mount seems to me to be a late plated steel fitting with the plating lifting and hints of corrosion. As such I don�t think that the price is reasonable.
And I would be remiss to not point out that if it ever comes time to upgrade or sell the sword. I think that the fact that it is mismatched is not only going to hurt its trade or sale value. It is going limit the number of potential buyers.
PS: I would move the thread to the proper forum, but don�t have a PC based browser which limits my ability to do so. FP
