Hi guys. Recently i was at a fleamarket in Denmark and i found these items. the seller sayed he bought them from an closed down museum in russia. He wanted 50.000DKR = ca 8662 US $ for the schellenbaum. He sayed it had belonged to Hermann Gring division. And it also sayed so on the ingraving on it.
An german man in his late 50s bought the AH stadard right as i took the photos, He bought that one for 15.000DKR = ca 2558 US$. If it would be real its a bargain.
Best regards Johan

i would also point out that these pieces,if authentic, would probably have previously obtained by the relic scavengers camped outside the doorstep of the Russian Military Museum for beaukeau dinero and thus would have wound up in an advanced collectors collection and not at some flea market in Denmark,,all things are possible, but i higly doubt it.

Yes i fully agree with you. But they looked pretty nice and i was pretty shocked to see anything like it in a fleamarket in DK. Even if they most truly is fake.

I made contact with a dealer that takes custom orders to make anything you like handmade in heavy embroid design with gold string etc etc and charges $350 for 2x2 feet work. Both sides.I think he has them maked in Pakistan.Maybe I will do one with my unit's standard. Take a look at his work.

Me thinks the German gent either got taken large, or is part of a setup. This is where the sellers have a 'plant' that purports to buy the one piece, to generate a sale for the remaining item that a 'pigeon'(prospective buyer, hot to trot) is looking at...
This tactic has been around for as long as antiques have been sold..It was used in the original story of the Maltese Falcon..
