ERIC,The school was indeed in your area, I know that. The internal and external markings on your pics are not in evidence and sometimes are hard to see anyway. I would suggest that you pick up Mr Weinand's book so you can check each and every point of reference to ascertain if this dagger is indeed authentic. The book just may prove as valuable to you as it has for me. Just a suggestion of course.

Regards, Lloyd

I do not think anyone will tell you will 100% confidence from these pics.
I sure like the aluminum crossguards.
If you own it, and you have it there and can call me I can walk you thru this piece.
as far as a book I can help you there too....

"E W" = Ernst Wagner. I still must suggest due to the paucity of pics with all the myriad points of reference, to invest a few bucks into THE book that will answer ALL your questions on this and any other NPEA that you are lucky enough to find. There are just TOO many repros out there eric to take any chances at ALL!

Appears to be a nice original. Only the second Rufach that I have seen in 50 years in this hobby. Condition of the blade is a little low, but the guards are correct, including the fonts on the lettering. The scabbard would have to be seen in person as the paint is in excellent condition compared to the blade. My only question is where did you find it?

Ron Weinand
