Hello:
Does anyone know if this C&J police dress bayo had a leather washer between the hilt and scabbard when first issued.
I have seen many baoynets that have them, and many others that do not.
Did they all come with them to begin with, and many have been lost to time?
Thank You.
Best Regards, Robert

Robert,
I've got a C&J Customs clamshell with the leather buffer. I've also got a later war C&J with the wood grips shaled like stag and non cutdown blade, it's got the leather buffer too.

Thank you gentlemen.
I suspect that mine had one as well. It just looks like it should have one. I'll look into picking one up from Johnson.
Again, Thank You.
Best Regards, Robert
