I don't know anything about daggers, but is it original?

Looks like a nice one to me with the more desirable sailing ship etch. Any maker mark?
I don`t have a naval specific reference but looking at the scabbard it may perhaps even be an earlier piece that had the eagle replaced as the detail looks VERY good from what I can tell from the image.

Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Thank you very very very very much!

Both sides of the blade are different, only on one side of the blade you have the anker.
No there isn't any makers mark on the blade, and I can't find any other marks on the rest of the dagger.

As stated navy daggers are not my interest but I have had a couple. I do not recall seeing one that was not maker marked but there are members who are navy collectors & I am sure there will be more expert opinion shortly.

Looks real nice Smile and the fittings and scabbard are real close to two Horesters I have sitting in front of me that I just bought. As for the unmarked blade that is not unusual at all. I've had many come and go with no trademarks.

Thank you very much!
And does somebody know who the maker could be? Or when this dagger was fabricated?
