"One man's trash is another man's treasure". This probably 1950's trumpet and banner was found in the trash in Germany and sold to me from Nis, Serbia. The nickel silver garland on the trumpet bell has the original owners age and name: "15 Jahre, Heinz Huxold". This damaged Schutzen banner was exposed to some heat and is a survivor. The Schutzenzengellschaft Wolfsburg e. V. was founded in 1950 with 20 members. The club now has a different patch and flag.

Here is the inside of the Wolfsburg Schutzen club and the newer Fanfarenzug flag with a black wolf on the castle and shooting target just like the new patch.

My research of "Heinz Huxold, Wolfsburg, Germany" found an address book with residence in Wolfsburg, Deutschland (Germany) 1974 or before. The original owner of my trumpet and banner, Heinz Huxold may have been the son of Heinz Huxold, born in Oberkirchen, Germany April 27, 1923, and entered service April 10, 1943, in the Luftwaffe as a pilot flying the ME-109 & ME-262 aircraft. A polizei report of Heinz Huxold dated Aug. 12, 1958, refers to "PKW (Volkswagen)".

I just found this "Jungschutzen-Korps, Wolfsburg", wall-hanging banner with shooting chain on a German auction site. This banner is very similar to mine except it is not a trumpet banner. The shooting chain has ten medals. The size is similar to mine 42.5 cm x 37 cm. The auction will be held on Feb. 23, 2023 and starting bid will be 5 Euros. The number for this auction item is 3180.

Description: Jungschutzen-Korps, Wolfsburg, stoff (fabric) Wandbehang (wallhanging) mit (with) Schutzenkette (shooting chain),

Thanks Mikee. Right now, I have no desire to buy this banner. I might move back to Northern New Jersey where I collected Native American artifacts from plowed fields, ancient village and camp sites in Passaic, Morris, Sussex and Warren counties in New Jersey and Orange County in New York State. I collected for 28 years and have cases of artifacts from about 6900BC (Kirk) to historical (Tippet clay tobacco pipe). I really miss the mountains of Northern New Jersey.

The auction for the "Jungschutzen-Korps, Wolfsburg" wall hanging banner and 10 Schutzen medals is over, and someone got a very good deal.

The items sold for only 20 Euros. My trumpet and banner cost me about $255.00 with shipping from Serbia.
