Good afternoon! The seller assures that the bayonet belongs to armies сс, but to me not to be trusted. I ask your council. Yours faithfully Michael.

Michael,

Just to start the discussion, while the pictures are not really clear enough (but better than many of mine), the stamp looks like it was made on top of an aged blade with some corrosion already on it. I would "pass" (not buy it). But I am interested in what the seller meant by " belongs to armies с&#1089" ??

Best Regards, FP

Photos unfortunately only the such. The seller confirms that the given bayonet belongs to armies ss. Yours faithfully Michael.

Michael,

What does this seller say is his proof? Is it just the marking? (A marking which could be stamped on a metal cup imported from Asia - and would that make it an "SS" metal cup??) Which is why I asked about "belongs to armies с&#1089". Which "SS" armies are those? Which to me says that he has no real knowledge, and is just trying to sell the item. And most likely for a much higher price than an average dress bayonet in that condition.

Best Regards, FP

i am not expert on dress bayonets, but the TM of Eickhorn is a early one, this is certainly not a approved design as already the bayonet was made when the cultural stamp were introduced, so from this i would not trust any information its a real SS stamp.

Mike,

The bayonet that you show which is stamped with an SS Design Approval stamp is something that you would not want in your collecton.
