I purchased this extremly rare miniature dagger a few weeks ago.
The owner was a very high ranked officer, he was the chief of staff of the River Forces for a short period.
I hope you like it.

It's length is 12,8 cm = 5 inches.
I was lucky to purchase a few photos and documents with the dagger also.

Hi Tobi,
the answer is so simple: the full size dagger came directly from the family. I bought it from the son of the original owner.
I know it is very similar to the Royal Yugoslavian M1924/II Navy dagger, but it is Hungarian.

the miniature is a newbie in my collection.
But I think you saw the full size dagger, late at night, after beers and palinkas.
Perhaps I don't remember correctly?

the maker mark looks OK, but the pictures are too small sized to tell you anything for sure.
Is the scabbard covered with leather?

Great job and thread.
I willpost two daggers currently on Ebay, Yugo AF. The first is original in my opinion and is the locally produced version with the slightly curved blade and scabbard.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...%26otn%3D4%26ps%3D10

This one closes in a few hours.

Here is the second one. This is a post war parts piece using an Eickhorn Naval blade without the scabbard catch and button.

To my eye yours is correct with both marks correct.

A truly beautiful example.

On the two daggers on Ebay, I note that the reproductions often sell for more than the originals.
