OK guys.. I'm leaving Wednesday morning for Western PA. To the famous MAX show.. I'll have a table with a couple of guys from the original crew,,,Tony and Vinny. Any members there come on by and rest the feet, shoot the ******** etc..

The MilitaryNut will be there with his own group of tables and some fine 3rd reich regalia this year! Don also will be there.

This is our mini table.. Basically,,we buy a table just to keep our 'stuff' somewhere,,to get passes,,to get in early,,and most of all,,,to have a place to rest. It's a long day,,concrete floors etc. having a place to sit is a luxury!

this is what i seen and i expected the amount of people paying to get in to the show was the lowest attendance i ever seen in my honest opinion there werent many collector buyers in this crowd show iopened at 9am and by 9.30 every body was in the show the overseas dealers buyers werent there at all a few russians/germans/dutch / i could count them all at maybe 30 all toll this years max was way off in sales daggers all over the place and not selling that well as far as rings that i looked at skulls a few ss honor rings that were fake pp rings just wasnt good enough for me to buy some thing wrong with the ones i looked at so i went on didnt buy much at all did some trading no biggie i talked to a few outher reptble dealers they said the show was terrible ok then i will try again next year hope outhers did well have a great day andy militarynut

I also saw a couple other wolchowstock not too far from your table, at least one real blue max, Andys rings and Vinnie's rings made up a bulk of the good rings there- some nice us and early us pieces- there was a whole room of mostly early USA- saw ANOTHER civil war gutta percha ring! Very nice and rare stuff there this year!

Thank you for all the pictures Gaspare. Little coverage it seems of this show, especially with all the issues with WAF. By the way, who owned the table that I am quoting the post from?

K.Bullets,,, I must have had 5 or 6 emails asking me whos table was this or that one..
The one you ask about,,HHhmm, armbands! ,,but sorry don't know who it is..

I'd say about 50% of the dealers give a dirty look when you go to photograph their table! So most just walk by and shoot while they are walking.. There were a ton of armbands this year! You got to hit it next year or the SOS..

every year you see trends. More of this or more of that. Positive or not I don't know..
This year,,very little paper, little medals/badges,,seemed to be a lot of cloth of all types..

So,,that was the MAX show this year.. Might have been slow for some. I don't go with expectations anymore. I go to see old friends, look around,,have a few drinks after the show, IF I pick something up them great. This year nothing for the 1st time. It is what it is.... Maybe see you all there next year..

But quality pieces nonetheless! There's that nice set of knucks we got from our friend chase- nice aluminum piece! Man scary how well they fit ur fingers G- I was talking w chase tuned around and u looked like u were ready to rumble! But, if I recall- ur partner in business is looking for all authentic pieces like that to be fabricated into foot pegs for custom bikes?? Any member w knowledge on where to find a match--- there's an interesting repurpose possible in its future! Great deal if I recall on the single cuff.... very nice piece, and was that the AMA award we found at the one guys table who had the only other decent skull ring we found (but did not buy... pricey!) again thanks for sharing and the trip down memory lane of max 2016!

Yeah the knucks are very functional! . I keep one by my bed,,but they are from the 1920s/30s and want to put them in my display.. I believe these AL example are new. So they fit the situation for me perfectly! [thanks for the intro by the way].. Best for me at the MAX this year,,was meeting Grant. What a cool little guy!
