welcome Ado...,
, This is a good known pattern. Seems to be marked correctly. My opinion is that this is not Freikorp era. I own a photo of it in wear and its a WW2 soldier and have seen another also WW2 era. Also the style is WW2 era.
This is heavily worn, surprised that enamel is still in there!
I think too wwII period.
And a fine looking one.
Hi Gaspare and Thank you
Here is the photo of this ring in wear that I have found.
Do you have the same photo?
Regards
Ado
I own the original photo and it is very clear. I was very trusting years ago and showed it to a collector who didn't think the ring existed. Photo wasn't supposed to be published on the net but ,,oh well, you live and learn..
That's a pretty rare ring.., nice to have in a collection..
Good eyes....yes ring in pic is of course a different pattern
there are many that believe in that Wehrwolf ring is good.. There are 2 different pattern I believe ,,or have seen that are supposed to be from the pre-war/Freikorps era... Anyone have an example they believe authentic?
Nice ring, but why you thinking , that ring from "Freikorps Wehrwolf"
I think it only a design similar
there is no documentary evidence that this ring worn by members of the "Freikorps Wehrwolf"
Simple ring of period ww2
No more ...
E. , I agree with you 100%.. Referring to this ring:
Anybody have one,,or similar?
Was this ever repurposed into anything else, though? A pendant, attached to a walking stick, etc that u guys know of?
