This might be a duplicate topic,,or maybe listed in the SuperFake section,,but it bares relisting:

Sad..... Some of us 3rd reich ring collectors also pick up WW1 rings..There are also WW1 collectors, Jewelry collectors who like them.

. Most think that the WW1 rings are safe to collect. That who would go thru the time, money and trouble to reproduce a run of the mill WW1 ring that there isn't such a great profit in..

Well here are 2 examples... Original patterns of these 2 rings are out there,,they aren't too hard to find! So here they are,,these are so good we now have SuperFakes of WW1 rings now mad

and more and more WW1 copies..

This one a easy one.. That line across the front is from the separation [top and bottom half] of the rubber mold. We call it the 'fault line'.. Thankfully on this one its too bad to try and hide.. Who will buy this pos ?

Had an email asking me about WW1 rings..

That they are 100 yrs old some of them and why aren't they worth more... And,, since they are not so popular there aren't too may fakes/reproductions/fantasies!..

Well yes they are old,,,but as antique dealers know old doesn't always mean $$$....
And there being no fakes? crazy,,, The auctions are loaded with them... I bet as of current,,there are more fakes than real WW1 rings out there. Checking the popular auction site,,there were only 1 or 2 good ones in 3 pages of listings!

So I'm bumping this topic up to show him.. Careful out there guys!

Are enamels good, bad or...? on last ring I see overheated/burned white enamel and not enough grinded enamel (at left lower corner) on round ring.

the enamels are pretty good, yes a good eye will catch finish problems.. Just a warning because many thought it safe to collect the WW1 rings,,and of course they are copied like everything else!
