Yesterday, it was 11 november ; 11 november 1918 was official the end of WW1. I post here a Belgium WW1 silver and enameled ring . In the some of the concerning countries, there are only a very few WW1 soldiers still alive .

I know the front of this ring, the Belgium tricolor, as an aluminium trench ring.
I never saw a silver marked patriotic ring like this. The German patriot WW1 ring is well known....

Benten. Are you sure that's enamel?

I'm not so good with Belgium marks,,,Those are the way a Belgium piece would be marked though.. Not sure if its possible, and it might take me a while but I'll see if I can ID the crossed arrows..

The A935 is not standard, they usually used A925 and A835 for the way they marked their silver content... Also, the way these marks are they would be considered WW2 time period marks. So probably not a WW1 ring but a WW2 patriotic ring........,G.

Gaspare thanks for your reply. The ring is enameled. My thoughts about the ring is from WW1 (early years 20ties) , is the typ of style flower/plant decoration aside and the comparison to the German patriotic WW 1 rings concerning the same way of putting national colors stripes on the front .

The shape however of this ring is later then WW1 .You mentioned the type of markings as WW2 , you could have a good point.
With the eye on the German occupation in Belgium it could be worn by a soldier rather than civilian ?

Cheers,
Benten
