Lexy... you mean this?

If so, from what I see, I think it's a reasonable and fair price in today's market considering that it's for sale on a Dealer's site.

Anyone else?

They were half this price not very long ago.

Bob,

I've seen plenty of E++/NM full Rohm from anywhere between $6000 and $7000 USD.
I know that they're scarce but not all that rare and with a bit of patience, you will eventually find one.
Here's one at $6295 in a near mint condition and I'm certain that you could get it for $6000.
That's a very fair price for such a blade.

And to answer your question.............about $ 2000 over priced for similar condition.

Thanks Pat

Pat... I'm not picking on you, but Brian might not appreciate you making deals for him. How about I discount a few of your cars before you sell them, EH? Smile
Posted By: patrice Re: Full Rohm on Bill Shea's site. - 10/07/2006 02:57 AM
I'm not trying to make any deals for Brian but merely suggesting that he may sell it for less.
It never hurt to ask and we're here to help one another and I'm not getting any commissions out of this. Big Grin
Brian is old enought to refuse any transaction that he doesn't see fit and I'm certain that he won't hold any grudge against me.
Knowing Brian, he may even pay me lunch at the next SOS show for marketing his web site. Wink
Skyline, no offence taken ! Cool

At least Bill Shea's dagger is an Eickhorn - with all the problems I hear about Pack SA Rohms I'm not sure I would buy one from anybody. Not saying there is anything wrong with the above mentioned one, but reading the forum for a while has put me off the Packs.
Posted By: patrice Re: Full Rohm on Bill Shea's site. - 10/09/2006 11:54 AM
Full Rohm SA's are actually pretty easy to spot if you know what to look for.
I also wouldn't buy a full Rohm E. Pack from pics alone and would definitively need a hand inspection.
A fake E.Pack full Rohm will NOT pass a hand inspection, unless you're dealing with someone that has no experience in the matter.
Trust me, ask any of the long time collector in the hobby and they will all tell you that the perfect fake Rohm does not exist.
Of course that there are hundreds of fake Rohm out there, I see them all that time at shows but if you know what to look for, you will never get burned. Cool

I defer to your expertise, but as a beginner buying my first SA Rohm & spending $7000 plus, I'd rest easier buying something other than a Pack, but that's just me & the way I think (and worry). In something else, like autographs, I'd proceed more confidently.
Posted By: patrice Re: Full Rohm on Bill Shea's site. - 10/09/2006 03:31 PM
Brian,

You're right !
If you've never bought or held an SA full Rohm in your hands, I would advice you to go with extreme caution.
These can be real mine fields.
Buy from a well known respected dealers and you won't have any problems.
Wink
There's also a whole bunch of good guys that can help you out in determining if there are any obvious red flags by posting pics on the forum.

I shold add that if I really knew my SA Rohms I would probably buy a Pack since they seem to be priced cheaper than the other makers - a well worn one is $3895, and minty ones are a thousand or two less.
