Hi Everyone,

I am just about to purchase this piece from a collector in Poland. I do have some doubts about the autenticity of this dagger. Can any of you advice?

Can the ID numbers be placed this way on the crosguard?

I will post some more pic's for your info.

4 (And some doubts about this motto as well) will post pictures in a diferent light where there is no stain following the motto.

This is the different light I mentioned.

And the final doubt I have is connected to the eagle placement in the grip. I can see some loose spaces below the wings - can this be standard for oryginal? I was told thi has not been fixed.

I can tell you the scabbard is not original to the dagger. Then I ask myself what else has been done to it? Notice the pit marks around the makermark. Where do they come from, there is no corrosion or rust just deep pit marks, not good. That leaves the inscription that I also think is fake.I would not buy a full Rohm SS dagger these days, too many of them.
Just walk from this.
I concur with Zorro...inscription fake. Repro grip...just walk.
There is no deal here but junk.

Regards,
-serge-
Those stamped numbers are not normaly associated with Germanic period known ones are they? Confused
Thanks guys. It seams the "incredible deals" does not exist anymore Smile
I've seen better fakes ... It's not even an honest "regular" E.P.& S.
Here it is for sale on polish auction forum ...for 4500 USD I was told by this guy he can sell it for 1500Smile http://www.allegro.pl/item530215737_kordzik_ss_z_dedykacja_ernsta_rohma.html
that Damas blade in the background is it yours?
and Mike this guy as I remember had a diplomatic dagger for sale last time, 2 days ago he had a full rohm SA dagger, and if that damascus blade is not yours then that guy has loads of Junk, keep your money a just got the pictures of the E Pack,,
scrap metal is worth more.
here is the dagger that he sold some days ago

Attached picture P1010142.JPG
Figures...another fake.
sorry more scrap metal. Get you money back if you can!

FYI you need to buy some basic reference books, spend a few hundred bucks...........save thousands Wink
Or you can always "smell test" the grip Wink Cool
Zoza - do you know how much for and who did he sell it to? Interesting. The guy is from Poznan. He pushes a huge volume of junk to the market. Will report it to allegro. Feel pity for all the buyersFrown

The seller's nick on german e-gun is often seen on polish allegro (seller located also in Herxheim, Germany), where he pushes fakes as well. Must be the same bunch.

FOR SALE in Poland, but no guarantee if coming from Poland. Well, whatever...
Motto to far from crossguard is another red flag IMO
Spoke to our coleague Antoni - a trader from "Kolo" market in Warsaw and he said he was approached by the german speaking guy to purchase "wholsale" number of full rohm blades - surely fake ones. It was like 6 months ago. He did not buy it but seas it from time to time poping up now.
Time to die ....
Here we go again.:):):)

the guy is trading from the email [email protected] BEWARE!!!

I almost got myself nicked...again. I even went ot Poznan for inspectiona and belive me - the damast Eick dagger looked real like hell.

Anyway ...the guy said his father is closing the collection. Byt just realized he said his name was Marcin Kucharski and previously I saw he said he was Adrian on the email.

Well the collection he had on allegro went to Russia for 75K PLN $25K

Have a look.....
Intrestingly he have set up a new account with 1 comment only called "312289 (1) "

Here is the picture of the whole collection that was sold for $25. Guess what. Now each of those single daggers is popping up for sale individually.

so.. all the daggers were fake??? from top to buttom???
funny thing - once I see NSKK chained as a tagged dagger and then untagged :-)
I doubt there were all fakes. All I am saing this was the same guy who have sold fakes in the past. Possibly 80% fakes/ part daggers though:)
HAHA...here we go again. Guess the market is still not that great for this guy:)

This time under "paulinkaantyki (0) " name. Zero comments - brand new login - same daggers.

Thought from a non expert.
Many moons ago, I lost a camping knife in my backyard. It had sentimental value. Could not find it, til much later i wa rototilling the soil.
I was in general slightly oxidized (supposedly stainless steel) but had some pitmarks on different places. I asked around and was told by a knife maker, by this may have been due to different 'spot" chemicals in the soil; natural or added when i sprayed it.
Perhaps these pitmarks are due to someone burying it for a while to "age" it.
Just a thought.

Allegro is full of fakes...same as aukro.
Waste of time. In that "collection" only the popular daggers seem to be real. All the chained ones etc. are copies. The so called "NSKOV dagger" which is nothing more than regular SA with NSKOV badge attached to the scabbard. You can see a dagger like that in Hartung's little catalogue which is really poor reference. This way some people think such model of dagger really existed and stick the NSKOV badges to the scabbards to raise the value grin
True, NSKOV dagger is funny....I have seen it only on allegro and aukro. Must be very rare typ!!!

Well, it seems there is many of these in last few years...
And all of them came into being just because of one booklet ...
Hello Adam, you are right, I have seen it in some catalogue or book. I know, it was quite thin, but I don't remember the name.

You know everything! This is that book.

Lukas.
Hey Lukas, wanna have an NSKOV dagger in your collection? I can get you the badge for 20$, you just have to organise some superglue grin wink
No no Adam, it's time to think up some new brand dagger. There is a plenty of these small comemorative badges. I think it's only a matter of time, when we will see new one.

Lukas.
