For an early KLaas in the 2nd photo the grip eagle does not look like the nickel variety.

My Klaas SS has the same runes type as a showed piece from K. Anderson site. In my opinion nothing wrong with runes.
And i also think, there is nothing wrong with eagle. Just my opinion...

On the other hand i myself would have a problem with the price. 5500$ for this dagger? Little bit greedy i think. For that price you can find chained one example...

Best, Lukas.

Here's a closer look at my rune button ( from the first picture ) but I think that it is perfectly alright to have different rune buttons from the same maker marked.

Thanks for your reply Lukas,

I've a problem with every price in this hobby crazy,

It's only a question to know if you want spend or not the money, the prices are completely free (for everyone).

Of course if you find a chained SS M36 in the same condition at US $ 5500,00 $, please tell me where smile

But don't speak about prices here, please,

It's a useless waste of time tired

thanks
P.

Well, e.g. here in Czech. Of course not in internet, but among the collectors are prices for chained SS about in dollars 5000 in the condition as this M33, depends on more factors. Surely not every day, but if the man wait, it is not a problem get one for that money. Dealers have always higher prices. Nothing against this, if the profit is reasonable...

Is the same situation with totenkopfrings. I know man, who dug 6 of them in his lifetime other friend dug 3 etc. and sold them about in US dollars 3000$ for each one. But it is true, now almost all good places for digging are empty here in Czech. It is much harder to find something nice, but it is still possible.

That's just my point of view.

Thanks, kreta, I was about to suggest the same thing. I want to add that very few were identified correctly the first time.

Again, in my opinion, eagle and runes were small items bought from suppliers. They certainly varied from supplier to supplier and maybe even batch by batch.

In addition I think that many manufacturers used subcontractors for items like grips. So, if he subby had a contract for 50 Jacobs grips and 50 Gembruch grips he may have used the same eagle.

Nice dagger .....top shelf price wise but you get an excellent dagger in very collectible condition, and a nice marked vertical hanger...comparatively speaking not too expensive...it is a nice piece....I have seen many daggers in lesser condition at both SOS and Max priced higher....I have also seen bargains there as well...shop around, compare and purchase what you will be happy with....cheers, Ryan
