I make no apology for all the pictures, this piece is just so beautiful.I searched all over for this and with the help of Dennis Porrell, found a great guy in the US who was willing to part with it,thank you Jim.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at this stunning piece.I was inspired by Kingtiger, his collection and the story of the fake at the Max show,I cant find the thread anymore,I thank you Kingtiger for putting me on the right path to owning this, after nearly buying a fake!!

Ivan,

I believe the thread you are looking for is named "Allach "Der Fechter"", begun November 10, 2006 under the Miscellaneous Militaria and Regalia Forum. It has several references to the fake rearing horse.

Try this link

Dane

Ah, beauty at last! That is a very fine example and I am very pleased to have been able to point you in the right direction. The fakes are like land mines out there and you must be very careful when choosing who to trust. Congratulations on your very fine example!

I was saved by Dennis from making a bad choice once and I am glad to pass along my experience. He has always been honest, friendly and straightforward with me and most of all, very fair in all our dealings.

Mark,
I'm pleased you took a look and thanks for the comments. It is great that we can help each other through this forum,I see *****ing at times. We have a wealth of knowledge between us,some more than others,we should harness it,forgive the pun.Without this forum, and your help,I would have a china horse, not the piece of art above.
Regards,Ivan.

Congratulations Ivan (!) What a superb addition to your growing collection of TR Items! Allach is just about as 'spectacular' as any collectible gets! We accept the chips & dings on even the best Daggers, but they are made of wood and metal. Allach is fragile porcelain & it's utterly amazing that such pieces survived fully intact. The rearing horse will go super with your Horse Badges! Dave ....dblmed

Well done on # 6. Such a fragile beast . Now carefully put that in a safe place or you can join the Allach hoof and ear club.
