hi all, just got a ss vase in a part swap, i like it but not really my cup of tea, can anyone tell me about it ? it is around 8 inches high, the drop eagle unglazed to the front with the words BIWAKABEND {?} DER SS REICHPARTEITAG NURNBURG 1938 on the back, also unglazed , any idea of maker, or number or why it was presented ? there is very slight discolouring to thre unglazed bits, otherwise mint.oh, and sorry, price guide if i decide to move it on
Hello Phil,
can you post a picture to my private E-mail address? I am interested in this vase.
Does it look like like this? Sorry for the "out of focus" picture, but you get the idea.
It was presented to SS members at at the Nurnburg rally in 1938.
Value is dependent upon the buyers desire to have it, but a good estimate is $800 to $1,200.00.

No Artist mark or number.Plain base with
Allach in green within octagon.
A few hundred were reportedly made for
presentation to selected SS men on the
eve of the Rally ("Cook out"!!).
Although not a lot are seen for sale.

The current prices that have been discussed after my post of an estimate is over twice what I paid last year at the SOS for one!
There is noting quite like Allach to give you a huge bang for the buck if bought right.
Mein Gott!
