would you fellows take a look at the helmet i have on the for sale forum. it is a dd l/w helmet. i think it is green and a collector tells me if it is green it is a repaint. it sure dosen't look like a repaint to me. what do you fellws think. thanks paul

where can i see a picture of this repaint luft halmet first off this guy drank to much monkey soup repaints yes the german did those also in 1940 hitler put out orders to the helmet people to do away with national colors on right side of helmet so they dipped a rag in the paINT AND SPLOTCHED OVER THE NATIONAL COLORS TO MAKE IT A PAINT OVER DECAL THEN WHEN THE WAR ESCOLATED THEY NEEDED LUFT HELMETS AND NAVY HELMETS SO THEY PAINTED OVER MAYBE A LUFT TO CHANGE TO A GREEN COLOR THEN REVERSED TO A LUFT GREY PAINT THIS MAKES SENCE TO ME THIS INFORMATION I GOT OVER FORTY MAYBE FORTY FIVE YEARS AGO SOMETIMES THEY PUT A DECAL ON TOP OF A DECAL LES WORK HOPE THIS HELPS YOU GOD BLESS ANDY MILITARYNUT

I can't find the ad of your helmet but a green Luftwaffe could mean that it was a Felddivision of the Luftwaffe.... Yes and they repainted their lids a lot during the war...reissue, camo,...
