Does anyone know this gentleman so we can get and explanation of what is happening here. He has already been offered more than the dagger is worth through ebay. Yet he, or the new buyers? still have it?
Anyone care to venture a theory? Jim

Good call Stan. This will explain why the prices on the three went so high. The shill out bid the legitimate bidders perhaps.

Hi Jim,I have just noticed something else about this seller. you posted 1931/32 returns on the 4-3-06.and the guy who is selling it now,did not register with eBay until the 13-03-06 Unless he was the buyer on the first auction, who is now no longer registered with eBay,The plot thickens. Dutchy is now bidding on it,I have tried to contact him without sucess.I think he is in Libia at the moment,Regards Stan http://members.lycos.nl/stantheman/

Ehi Stan....wonderful investigation (what's your job??!!)...in anycase, the present best bidder is an expert collector: usually he is very precise before bidding....otherwise is really strange the same dagger's pic in those two different auctions. I'm curious to follow the ending story. P.S.: just for curiosity, nothing new about our russian friend? did ebay refund anything?

Hi Doctor.
I am getting a little old and my memory is not what it use to be.
Please refresh my memory on "our russian friend".

No Jim, sorry...the 'russian friend' was a 'little crash' me and Stan got in the world of militaria colectors: sometime it is not plenty of good fellows only !
