That's all Folks !

My take on the MAX:

- A great new facility with good temperature control and lighting. Several people commented on the lighting.

- A functional snack bar that serves decent food with a smile and has lids and paper trays so you can haul multiple drinks back to a stand.

- A dining area where you can rest your feet, yak with friends as well as scarf a dog.

- Aisle wide enough so you don't feel cramped and where you can dodge a guy on a segway Big Grin

From what I observed, rare or top conditioned items sold well. On the other hand, average SA / Army / Luft / K98's lingered as they have done for years. Probably the same applies to uniforms, lids, etc.

And I met a lot of Forum guys. Damast, Tyrel Serge & Johnny, Robert Hassler, JR, Baz, Andy, Gailen, Craig, Jason, Iron Mike McAlvanah, Mike The Russian, to name a few.

I agree... thank you for doing this, especially for all those of us who could not make this show.

Except for the fact that my wallet isn't empty, it was almost like being there. Big Grin

Excellent job of covering the show from start to finish. I think the pictures and comments are great!
I was very pleased, overall, with the way the show was run and business in general.I have never missed a MAX(Came close on time) and hope to make the next 25. Keep up the good work!

I'm really impressed with the new facility which we now share. Great lighting and good eats. Most of my customers were thrilled with the place. Of all the show promoters I've worked with over the years, the two Tom's do a damn good job making this show happen. I only wish there were more shows of this calibre around. Glad we also have the SOS. Can't wait to be there and see all my friends again. Dave, thanks for taking the nice pics.

Some good news:

I talked to TW earlier and he told me that the MAX had signed a 5-year contract with that facility.

Also the old Radisson - about to be a Doubletree - is taking reservations. They had a table opposite the snack bar on Saturday and I signed up. Not cheap Frown, but I will try it. I stayed at the Holiday Inn this time and it was OK but not that cheap either.

Thanks everyone.I'll try for more next year.

Roy, the hotel will be a Doubletree hotel. Their website shows it opening in November 2009, but no phone number. Maybe try calling their main reservation number. The price was $139 for the room I got.

Thanks Eric, for your kind words. I missed you at MAX, but TW said you stopped by and said hello.

I will try to get the Doubletree number if one is available.

Is there any doubt that it is German militaria that drives the military antiques hobby?

Ron W,

Can your wife post some of her pics. As she is the Official Photographer they should be a lot better than mine.

Dave, sorry, but she is gone to TX for vacation and they are the property of MAX and Tom J. will select which ones are in the next years program, so we are kind of closed out on releasing them now.
