Hilt is from an honor bayonet (made by either Eickhorn or Weyersberg). Blade etch is curious because it's marked Pack but the vine & leaf bookends is a Holler product, also seen on Horsterr & WKC marked examples. Rivets look odd. My suspicion is the whole thing is made up of parts including a postwar etched blade.

I tend to agree with Billy (as always), but would like to see better pictures of the etch (especially the front and back borders).

This is not a pattern that one would expect from Pack.

Here are pics of my Eickhorn and Weyersberg Honour bayos (the second one is the Weyersberg and it looks the most like the one pictured in this thread).

Always looking for Eickhorns and etched bayonets.

I bought this bayonet in October of '99 and they told me that it was .. "honorific award from the officers of the 30th Infantry Regiment." Do you think it is not original?
The starting price was: ? 750

Buggered bakelite & oversized rivets (in addition to the hilt only being seen on Eick & Weyersberg) do not give me a good feeling about the legitimacy of this piece.
