Would appreciate this forum`s help in identifying a hunting sword I recently purchased marked Stroblinger Munchen on the locket. He apparently worked from 1830 to 1890. My sword has very fresh looking mounts and may have been cleaned up.The engraving on the blade is excellent and the condition of the leather very good. Were such items copied? My own experience is in much earlier weapons.
I`m a newbee to the site. Are we allowed to offer items for sale as this item is too late for my present collection?
The overall size is 33".
Thanks in anticipation of your expert opinions! PS EXTRA IMAGES NEXT POST

This one is a post war piece, they made these a few years ago, they are all the same, they usually change hands around $450.00.

Thanks for the quick reply, Garry. I had my suspicions as the mounts were very bright but the quality of the blade was good. Do you have any idea where they were made? And who made them?

I don't know much more about them, they were made in a fairly limited supply, I think they were made in Germany.
