Hi Vat nice sidearm ! I think the knot is police bud! I want to replace it due to condition , all the red thread has now gone It only had minor traces when it came into my life and the triple bullion wire is only present in places , my only real knowledge of knots and faustriemen is firmly related to 98/05 and imperial sword knots transfered to ks98s after the 1915 order . i'll post a pic of the "cats anus" a more positive id can then be ascertained , kind regards

If black/grey, it might be original.

Cheers Billy, she is pretty .here are a few pics of the knot, you can see traces of red to the strap and yes those strands also came from it (under the slider) regards .

Hi! I think that your knot (with a leather loop) was from a police saber. IMHO you need a knot with fabric loop. My bayonet came "from the family" with this knot. IDK, of course I can be wrong, there are differences of opinion. Kind regards, ______________ Sergey

I agree, 3R Polizei knot. Didn't see the red in the strap.
