Picked up this Schnitzler&Kirschbaum German export bayonet a bit of a mystery where it went to or what type of rifle it went on. The muzzle ring diameter is a massive .950. The blade has remnants of some type of plating the seller thinks it's tin which was an early form of corrosion control. Any thoughts or opinions are most welcome.

Overall Length 27.250, Blade Length 22.50, Muzzle Ring Diameter depending on where you measure it 9.30/9.50.
