Hi gents,

Has anyone ever seen helmet like this? Itís made in Paris but itís not French. Also, it has Imperial Russian eagle, but I don't think it belongs here.
Thank you in advance.

The two headed eagle is usually associated with Russia as you state. I would look to see if perhaps it was Alexander II or NicholasII. It looks like a II below the eagles. It would not surprise me if the Russians ordered supplies from the French. Industrially the Russians were extremely behind the times while the Tsars ran things.
Just a guess.

Thanks. Thatís right, some Russian officers use to buy their uniform in France and Germany. The eagle has the cipher of Peter III (1728 Ė 1762) and Russian army start using similar leather helmets only in 1844, so most likely this eagle doesnít belong to this helmet. I will keep researching.

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be the case.

I have to agree with Andy.
Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
