My 4th Eickhorn fighting knife is this back to back squirrel variation.

Here it is... do you think the blade has been worked on...

Hi John the blade has been tipped and buffed
Also the grips look to be replacements & the scabbard clip

I was not too concerned about the retipping and the buffing... I collect these by Eickhorn maker mark variation and this is one mark that I am missing. I could live with the two things and have this as a placeholder until a better version came along.

But, I do not think I can live with the replaced grips and the scabbard repair as well.

Thank you for pointing these out to me.

John

Glad to help John, its a shame when items like these get messed about but i'm sure you will find another one.

Here is my latest. When I saw it on Tom Wittmann's site, two things stuck out to me: the stage grips and a different back to back maker mark.

Once I received it, I also noticed that the hilt is slightly larger and heavier than the other back to back squirrel knife that I already own and that this one has the stud button and the mortise key.

Here is my latest arrival, an Eickhorn fighting knife with the 42 over shoulder maker mark.

Do you see any issues?
