Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

It is clear that it is faked, but it is one of the ugly fakes. Even the EICKHORN tag is an ugly fake. On the other hand it is ok as such a "dagger" cannot fool anybody who is seriously into IIIR daggers. Regards,

Now at 1550. I like to post items like this in hopes that the bidders will do at least a minor search and find out how bad the dagger is. But people keep bidding.
I have noted a number of presentation boxes showing up on all kinds of daggers from the former East Block. Usually with a good story attached to the recipient.
This is the most elaborate example that I have seen.
Thank you for your comments.

On the expensive side for what it is, I like to look at the bright side of things. After seeing the edges put on the blade - my thinking being that somebody got himself a very decorative Käse (cheese) und Knackwurst slicer because that is the best thing that it's good for. Best Regards, Fred

It is back up for auction, Old Reward Dagger Perhaps the buyer of the Old Reward Dagger read our posts? It is nice to think so. FP, I found the tm and blade interesting also.
