Really interested:

1) Which one is older?
2) How can you tell the general era of production early v. mid-war v. late?
3) Schooled me on what you see different (and the significance) between these two examples.
4) Is that nickel or silver?
5) are the scabs the same maker

First examples is shown below...

and second example is linked here...

Bob_M, personally I am not into the minute little differences concerning special classification. Naturally I do recognize them but for me the overall appearance of a dagger is in the first place.
This said, due to the quality, the kind of silvering, the crossguard eagle und the special scabbard treats I would think that the dagger shown here is an earlier one and the dagger in the other thread is a later one.
Both seem to be NOT nickle but a pot metal alloy. The photographs are not enough detailed for me in regard of certain regions, perhaps the crossguard of the one shown here might also be a brass alloy.
BTW both are very nice daggers, the simulated ivory grip is special!
Regards,

Okay, I looked at the tang on this pumpkin colored WKC, and was surprise to see the early style tang. Is this pre- 1936/1937?

Also, the "rings" logo. Any significance? TIA
