Hmmm... complete with crescent moon and 835... and I'm going to guess that might be a "Laurin" mark, or at least the APPEARANCE of said marks..... this one is NOT a one-looker by a long shot, unless that look is in the other direction....opinions?

In last couple of months I have notice that eBay is flooded with better copies of different skull ring examples from same seller and he is getting some good bids on his fake skull rings

Well known and rather rare pattern with this "high" skull.
The skull on originals is a separate piece and soldered on as on Ados ring.
One piece variants with a "flat" skull are more common.
If i remember right i have a period advert for this "high" skull ring.

Very interesting! Like these guys though, I still have some concerns about this one in particular..., if these are normal variances however, please let us know! There's no reason to rip down a good ring, of course- but fakes aren't getting worse... they're getting better! Concern number 1- the pitting all over the front... it would seem too thin in the originals to have this... next, band thickness- besides the skull it seems on the whole to be quite thicker, especially in the critical rear areas than the one original linked in the post. Third, the stamp (s) are different (highlighted). Are the ones on the one for sale "good" stamps, even thought different? And finally- the source. I usually never buy from a "0.0%" seller, or at least look at the stats on the guy before buying (new to eBay, other products?) so I looked and he's selling these too... which are also worth a discussion! At the very best- these are a put-together.... but what's up with all that pitting?

Yes, this ebay topic starting ring is a bad one piece casted one with wrong hallmarking too.
No doubts, a fake.
The first i see of exact this pattern.

It's got bids... it's gonna fool somebody out of a lot of euro..... ring buyers check in with GDC before buying !!!

Looks like no one is listening! Here is another same example skull ring with poppies that just sold today with lot of bids behind it! Marked with RZM 800 which stands for; Ridiculously Embarrassing!

Oh yes, again someone got burned.
It real would be better to learn your lesson before buying.

There were a couple of horrid ones in fact- $200 plus in bids. "Guaranteed original" at your next/nearest gun show, for 3 times as much. Save your money guys, and buy the Dale Jr. bobblehead and overpriced jerky instead.
