Greetings Gentlemen! ,
I see things are moving along well here. I come on to welcome my old friend Odal as co-mod.!
Yes for years now this forum has been very busy. Probably right on in the top 10 of busiest. No matter the time of day/nite there's usually 30 to 40 people viewing! And,,in 2017 I'm sure we'll break over 20,000 topics! We have a large amount of 'lurkers' and a great international cast of members with various degrees of expertise. A 2nd Mod couldn't hurt and gives Mike more time with his new baby!
Rings, cuff-links, tie-clips/stic pins, broaches and fobs. They are interesting.. Most collectors have come across at least one of the items when buying a 'lot', an old collection, a box of Vets bring backs etc. Unit rings, campaign rings, skull rings,,these things are just plain cool!
Well anyway, I've had a host of problems since leaving , just one being the loss of my trusty laptop! I've had to save up and pay a small fortune to get the files off [Retrieve] my burnt up hard drive. I ended up getting about 90% back. So I had to buy a new external hard drive and just this weekend [thank you Presidents day sales!] finally bought a new hi zoot, deluxe,laptop.
So next week every nite I start working on cutting down each story, description,chapter, etc. for the new format that will be published.
I figure a little over a month/6 weeks or so.
I'll be glad to return as a member and get to see all the cool stuff posted on here again..
So enjoy guys,,we have one of the best,fairest ring forums out there and thats all thanks to your guys participation and interest!, so keep'em flying guys, post those cool authentic rings and don't forget to expose those MFer bastard counterfeiter thieves and their newest SuperFakes!....,Gaspare

Welcome odal!!! Yes this is the guy! A quick read through of Gaspare's retirement post will tell you this is who it was always supposed to be...Outside of Gaspare, no one knows rings like odal, I've referred to him as a resource and considered him a mentor of mine for a couple years now! Anyhow, with odal stepping in, and my life not getting any easier.... (actually have 3 little ones at home, and commute to work daily 3 counties away!) I will be resigning from the post effective March 1st. I'm grateful for the opportunity here, the friendship and confidence of my colleagues, especially Gaspare....but I'm eager to go back to being an avid contributor and enthusiastic student of the rings, as I hope we all are and continue to be. GDC will continue to host the greatest ring forum on the planet- and now with odal at the helm, I hope it inspires even greater confidence in our members and others!
