It looks OK from the photos, but they reproduced. This one does appear to have a bit of age and wear and the metal components look like those usually seen on authentic examples. They can vary a little in leather thickness and length, etc. The leather is usually has embossed lines on either side. Some of the "D" rings are pebbled, some smooth. I've never seen one that his not of iron or steel. Most brads have the dimple on one side as seen here and the rounded side was painted black. As to wear, period photos show they were worn from the early era of daggers through the end of their wear. So, this loop would be correct for a dagger of any period.

Upon closer inspection the rivet is dark drown but the leather is definitely black. Is the brown rivet correct?
