I can not make it out. All I see are two zeros which could be an 8. Can you read under the guard and tell us the full stamping. According to Berger, the major makers were Gilardoni in Milan, Turco or F.LLi in Napoli. Turco is still in business and al least 6 years ago was producing daggers for all the Italian academies. Those would be model 1952's due to just slight differences. While I do not recall the differences between the 03 and the model 1929, I believe this is a 1929.
One other option, Paul, is to send it to me. I could then look at it for you, if it didn't get lost in the mail. :))
