Whow, a very nice and interesting dagger. Is the grip ivory (obviously)? White slant grips are extremely rare. And the look of any early daggers with slant grip is nearly unbeatable.

Boy that is a rare bird with the special order grip. Looks nice and typical Eickhorn construction with the Type-2 guard. Like Ivan i have only seen a handful of these slants and would consider them to be one of the wholly grails for a Heer collector.

Very nice...slant eicks are pretty rare to begin with let alone with a white grip. I assume the grip is ivory? its hard to determine without the usual tell tale discoloring and natural age stress lines typical of aged ivory.

Thanks guys for your positive comments. I think the photography challenge is that the fittings are all so dark they over expose the rest of the piece. making the grip lighter than it really is.
Anyways I'll have to play w my camera.

Paul,

Great contrast between the patinaed fittings & ivory grip. And an ivory slant is a first for me, but admittedly I haven't been seeking our Heers like some of our friends. Great piece!
