Hi guys,

this ring was found near the old airfield in the Crimea.
Once the ring is washed with water on the inside there seems ("K.N.") initials of the owner of the ring.
I already did some research, but they have failed. Including on the list of personnel J./88
Do you think to these initials is there a possibility to identify the owner of the ring?

Thanks for your attention and your time.
Sergey

Looks nice but has a by-taste of 4th Reich to me, just my uneducated opinion, I might very well be wrong, it's just an impression, apologies if so.

Mmmhhh.
Nice work and well made craftmanship.

I bet gold and silver, but i think a dangerous too.
Rather often seen pattern with different engravings so i would be careful.
And the patina looks very evenly.

It`s very hard this times. So much fakes around.

If i would buy.....not for much Money.

Thanks guys for your opinion.

But I must say that the kind of patina depends on the composition of the soil in which there was a ring IMHO.

fake or real it looks like it had a hard life!

So, these were sometimes made in low grade silver. This one appears to be a low grade silver. Am I understanding correct there is no content mark?
The cartouche highlights are the usual lightly plated gold?

It does appear to have hand done carving/tool marks on it. Could it be a cast ring? then worked to make it look ground dug? That would be a lot of work! IF so its big trouble for collectors of these Legion Condor rings...

I hate to see cleaned up rings. But this one I wouldn't mind seeing it a bit of cleaned up and reshot for us to see [?]

*Sergey 65 ,, Do you still own it? Have you made any more observations you could tell us about the ring? Have you cleaned it anymore than already shown?

Hi guys,

this ring was found near the Flughafen "Karankut".
It is located in the Crimea in 25 km south-west from the city of Dzhankoy. I have not yet decided to clean it or leave as is.
If I'll clean it necessarily show you the photos. For me it is obvious that it is a silver ring with a gold plate. And of course it is handmade.
When it was found that it looks like this...

I also want to add.
If someone is interested.
This ring was found around 2000 at the time it was Ukraine. There is an assumption that the ring was found in an abandoned military cemetery near the Flughafen "Karankut".
