Hi guys - I've come across a new one for the collection, seller advert as memento mori, 19th century European. She bought it somewhere (market bazaar antique store?) on the continent about 20-25 yrs ago. I thought it interesting, and possibly a Kantinenring, maybe early.... I was happy when I got a positive review from our moderator- actually, I was ecstatic! so here's some more- small, prob mans size 7- thin band, joined behind the skull- skull is hollow, and slight pressure marks on the top and bottom of skull, flattened a bit. Lots of age but can't see any markings other than the designs on the tread. Does anyone have any similar rings or different "tank tread" rings/pics? Thanks in advance- Byz

Nice pic up mike! Iv seen only a couple of those around.....one of the nicest skulls to own imo

Well here's one I just saw on German eBay.... I spoke with G about it and he suggested posting to the forum... I had serious doubts about it, and basically got those doubts confirmed by our mod. He also would like to know what u guys think.... Also our chief should be back in action in the next week or so, just FYI...: regards Mike

Here's what I didn't like- the "newness" of it plus the highlighted areas in red. Almost didn't need to see the mark but didn't like that either.

I have seen this one too and think it is a not so bad made fake.
Pics are real not best, but i would let my fingers off.

the 2nd ring is a real good copy! Expertly done. Correct materials, 2 piece construction. A real SuperFake,,,beware!!!
