The gilt on these swords is famous for being unstable and flaking off. Yours has considerable gilt and is a nice example. Thanks for showing.

Very nice sword I had a Prinz Eugen Sword with a usually wide blade and most of the gilt was still their. I sold it more than ten years ago and haven't seen one like it in the same condition since.
