Guys would appreciate your opinions on this one, it is marked RZM and 800:

Looks like a badly cast fake to me. RZM mark is a red flag, and the 800 stamp is usually on the inner shank. It looks like one of the fake/fantasys out of eastern europe.

Cast fake of an existing pattern.
Usually enamel on the plate. Ring brass and silver plated or silver with austrian hallmarks.
I think in this thread with patriotic rings you can see originals.

i agree with dak41 and gaspare and odel no third reich rings were marked with rzm marks that im aware of . gaspare remember back maybe 10 years or more when a high roller in this hobby who just buys everything but rings contacted don boyle and don told him the truth that the ring with rzm marks was fake. then two more high rollers in the hobby jumped in ganged up on don boyle and two of them insisted that don was full of monkey soup and didnt know what he was talking about and both of those high rollers said they were there at the gun show when the u.s. soldier brought in this rzm marked ring soldier said he liberated the ring overseasaccording to them . don just got discusted trying to convince these three high rollers with thier srupid wrong opinion and trying to make something that was fake a real period ring hell no fake is fake no mater who says its real then i took it upon my self to defend all my friends all ways and give these high rollers my opinion and feelings on these rzm marked rings they won the battle that night but then in my opinion i won the war. they didnt like what i had to say in my humble way but hey if you cant take the heat best get out of the kitchen again if im wrong i will all ways opoligize but if im right then what you see is what you get. paul im glad you brought this ring to us experenced ring collectors because we all learn here ps wish i had my ss ring with me here in sunny florida that inside reads okt 1935 sure would love to know what this stands for besides october 1935 has to mean an important month date maybe for some big event like a big rally or something can any one here shed some light on this date for me . same marks on cross guard of army dagger on our gdc forum god bless all andy militarynut

Yes, remember that about the RZM.. An easy 10 years ago [really not that long!]..
The whole RZM thing can be a bit confusing when you get in to it. But read a little bit about it and you'll know It couldn't be on a ring.
