Picked it up out of a massive box of old photos and postcards mostly from a family who lived in savannah, Georgia... Please note the date... Sept 14, 1917. Can't make out the overstikes but the savannah post stamp is definitely December 6. Stamps have been removed, either by angry Bolsheviks or an annoying philatelist... The only worse timing I've seen for a trip like that had to be when Fredo "broke michaels heart" in Havana.(godfather reference, sorry.)

Right? It's crazy...I think the tsar abdicated in March of that year, so this was during the time of kerenskys provisional government....things were bad soon, it didn't take till September...Russia was still in ww1 and kerensky couldn't get them out....just helped the Bolsheviks out there! We all know what happened in November!
