Hi all, found this 12 round belt slide, old, nice leather marked (and I think I got this off the letters) "rosenblatt n.y.c." ...can anyone help tell me what I found?

rosenblat was a gun dealer who had a shop in new york city and i believe had a deal to supply the new york city police dept with thier service pistols and all outher gun needs such as this leather cartridge belt holder probly for 38special cartridges mr. rosenblat had his shop in new york city when lincoln had his hat blocked holly molly that was yesterday hope this helps you best andy militarynut

when your from bklyn new york and a junk mans son one thing my dad taught me was the different metal aluminum/zink/copper/brass /iron/castings manell very presious metal block tin . both myself and my dad did small moving jobs etc just to make ends meet for the family tough days after ww2 was over in bklyn i was six years old when the troops came home oh my lord did they bring home the treasures from europe and japan . you might not believe this but as god is my judge in the garbage cans was german flags/medals/photograps/ lugers/p-38s japanese pistols bullets/helmets/ man you name it and it was there moms hated the third reich items so in the can they went the garbage man got the guns as i was not permitted to keep them my pop warned me and that was his law . i loved my dad but couldnt understand his thinking at that time now i know why if permitted i would have showed some one and off to the clink no bread no water ok enough of the great kid memories but when i was of age guess wqhat i bought every gun i could find and afford i had lay a ways with people to pay off my stash of militaria . plus the john wayne movies like sands of iwo jima that did it then i bought japanese swords they were kool ok mike pick my memory bank any time i love to teach the militaria and what i know to any one that wants to learn some times i dont know but i try any way god bless and your wellcome thanks for the kind words andy militarynut
