I picked up these Senior Aircrew wings at a flea market the other day. They are marked GP and STERLING. Did they issue these wings during WWII or are they all post war? Thanks

Post war. According to my documentation, the Senior Aircrew wings were first authorized in 1949.

Thank you. I thought so but, had seen some dealers sell them as WWII.

The larger clutch posts also indicate post WWII. The "seniorness" was based on amount of flight time. You will see some WW2 pilot ones generally from guys that were in prewar. Still a decent pair of wings with nice feathering!
