Hey guys I'm waiting for this imperial sword to arrive. But meanwhile I want you to show you these pictures. What is your opinion on those ruby eyes?
Regards

These appear to be "teddy bear eyes", a valid period alternative to the more commonly seen faceted eye jewels from, I suppose, only certain manufacturers. Who is the maker? An uncommon and interesting variation. Congratulations.

Damascus blade and Guard Star...fantastic! Cannot make out the individual name but looks like a Berlin Distribution house.

A not particularly common variation of the eyes, in combination with a Damascus blade and Guard Star. Very Nice Score!!! Best Regards, Fred

Name on blade spine is Gustav Laute Hofwaffen Fabrik Berlin. The name is associated often with high-end blades. They evidently had a factory; may have been a producer (?) Beautiful sword. Quill back?
