Want to show and discuss here a very heavy worn honor ring.
Got it some weeks ago in hands for inspection, looked at it for an lot of hours, compared and .....
At least i baught it for not to much money and now i would like to hear your opinions about.

Heavily worn honor rings are a very delicate chapter. But this one has the outside characters of a truely very worn ring like seen by other very worn rings, it has the inscription like known from original rings and it has a nice seam (although on 30´s rings the seam is not always so prominent as here) and finally the inscription is like we are used to see on original rings. So for me this one is most likely an original honor ring.

although extreamly worn,,its worn in the right ways!!
Can't check anything on the outside,,,but the inside,,that's a one looker for me. That's also one of the most I've seen worn on a inside,,but even with the wear you can still see where the engravers tool goes in, and comes out. Seam, H.H., everything A.O.K.!
That ring was worn for many years!
.. Very nice,,congrats on your first HR,,now you'll need a late pattern to keep it company!

Did not have my files at hand. So now some background to this TK ring: It already was shown at WAF in August 2009 by member Schmeisserfan. Also over there it was assumed that it is an original ring. Some dicussion was which Adler (concerning the DALs) got this ring. Obviously this ring did come with a Niemann Expertise + Garantie and several photographs of the said Adler.

Hi Wotan, many thanks for work. But, sorry, i know this and have the for me worthless Niemann coa got too. The pics i havn`t and as it seems ist unpossible to figure out the former owner. As i know there are in all 4 Adlers with the ring. 2 are eliminated while getting their ring later or earlier. But there are still 2 ones that got their ring in 37. Adam Adler, ss-no 3826 and Bendix Adler ss-no 11001. Both Untersturmführer and men of the first years. Bad luck, but i like the ring itself

That's the best bit, that you like the ring itself in any case. And at least it's down to 2 possible ss men. Myself I am also a big fan of the well worn rings, there is something about the fact as Gaspare mentioned that it was worn for many years with obviously pride and of course in honor. Congrats on a great ring, enjoy it!

I have to comment that I like this ring as well. It certainly has the look and the inside inscription looks good. I like the fact that it was worn for a long time and saw a lot of history while on the owners hand.
