Another ringman like Herr Himmler!
Taken by Himmler's official photographer Bauer of Munich. Maybe he was on his staff?
I was able to get a great detailed photo showing the skull on the officer's HR.

yeah a great shot.. That for sure is his HR! and the other 2 look interesting..
Maybe try a scanner , and /or a little better set up with camera.......

A scan at 1200 DPI of the original photo and zoom onto the rings. Can anyone see a pattern on the face of the pinky ring?

Maybe Flemish?

Thanks...odal that is an interesting observation. I think you are correct! Last night I looked at the original photo with a loop and it looks like a capital S. But it looks differently on this scan. I need to look at it again now that I see the lion you mention!
Can anyone identify the cufftitle? Maybe that could help? Photo was from Bauer in Munich.

I see a standing lion or wolf with a tail going up to the right. Could also be a Berlin bear? An Eickhorn squirrel also comes to mind. The animal appears to be visible to the viewer and it would be upside down to the wearer. Please tell what you all see.

Could be bear,,but I'm leaning more on Lion.. These photos are called 'near miss' photos. Photos you can see a ring in wear but can't really identify or turn out not to be military related.

Must be rare. I would like to ID the officer.
I see a reference online that says it refers to an assembly camp for ss escapees from Austria after the attempt on Austrian chancellery in 1934.

thanks to verns help in putting on these ring photos one of reinhard heydrich wearing his ss honor ring the outher ss officer is philip bohler high ranking officer . the last photo is in himmlers office you can see the ss officers hand just above heinrich himmlers arm wearing his ss honor ring this is a german marked photo i had for years ever since i was addicted to buying/selling ss honor rings at one time period i owned 13 certified by don boyle ss honor rings now i have a few nice ones left. the large box of rings are from my personal collection i all so have a large box of american soldier rings ww1 ww2 the ss honor rings will be fore sale at this years max show in october thanks again andy militarynut

I had a guy bring me a bunch of stuff when I worked in steel
mill that I went to high school with!
There was some SS rings field made not honor rings!
He never would sell the stuff but I saw it!

thanks for looking and commenting on my ring collection of many years of hunting them down and trying to beat gaspare to all the best skull rings etc at the shows . he is very fast some times he beats me and some times i am the winner at shows we pass up more bad and fake rings then we get lucky and buy a few real period made rings thanks again god bless all andy militarynut

As long as everyone stays clear of that bottom row you'll be safe  ..... Andy and I always joke around. Whos selling what and when... But our rings?,,,Why should we sell any of them! They are small and easy to keep. Many different patterns, cool to look at and ponder,'wonder who wore this one!' They'll always be valuable and in an emergency you can throw a 1000 in a shoebox and take off to safety!!
