Something like that is for sale. I do not know this pattern. It is written on the ring 1939/1940. I assume it is a West Wall ring. If You have any idea about this piece please share...

If i remember right i have still seen this pattern, but in brass and plated.
From what material is this one made?

- rare WW pattern!!

I have a ground dug example, brass with some sort of wash that's long gone, the ring now appears rusty!

Never seen a mint/good condition example,,
anyone got one?

G. , when you get it send better photos.. Its a rare pattern and a old one. Usually WW rings are not produced in silver but this one being very early pattern it could have been offered in silver.

I got it in hands. Too late to take pictures. It is not a silver one just silvered. Where the plating is gone I can see the material which looks like alpacca. I will post pics tommorrow.

Very good pics!
Now it looks like the ring is a brass-alloy (maybe Alpacca) and was plated - rests of plating are still there - you can see clear the "border-lines" between plating rests and the ring itself.
A ring i would like!

A pattern I'm yet to own in my collection, these are faked notoriously in brass but have bad marks and no plating.

This looks promising to me, the wear looks nice and in the right places!

I tell beginning ring collectors to be careful,,that no matter how rare the ring it has been copied already!


Case in point,,this is a seldom seen pattern.. And, here we go,,some thief selling a copy.
