I was at OVMS show this June and joe Pankowski had this beauty!
I was stunned by its beauty and only took a few pics!
Engraved blade! Is it a court sword or what?
Sure was a looker!
Blade was nice just dust showing!

Yes, that was my guess as well, with a Dutch distributor mark, C. Mouwen and Zoom Hofleveranciers,(court suppliers)Breda. Not sure of exact date, but certainly between 1890-1948, which is the reign of(W)Wilhelmina. Looks French made? FP might have more info? Lets hope he sees this! Beautiful sword! Thanks.

A beautiful sword, my thoughts are somewhere in the ballpark of Larry and Mikee's. With what I believe is a nickel plated blade, if I had to make a guess it would be that the sword is of German manufacture, and possibly sometime between 1890 and 1914. With the sword being as was stated a court or 'officials' sword. And a number of somewhat similar themed examples made for at least 100 years for use by those in various European states. With the earlier versions having the blued and fire guilt decorated blades that were engraved not etched. Best regards to all, Fred
