I would give it back as soon as you can not an expert on these but the quality just isn't there for me not a dagger I would entertain even if it was really cheap

Mark, what you have found here is one of the few "issues" in Witty's Navy reference. He states this is a late war mark. However since his book came out the collector community has decided that this is a post-war mark. I agree withthe others here, it should go back. smile
