Did you inspect thoroughly,,maybe its just the screws that are stripped?

if it is the holes you have some pretty slick guys here,,they should come up with a solution for you,,,hopefully!

Is the dagger early or late?

Siegfried, It is a near mint Early SA Dagger I picked up from someone in the parking Lot (Really) of the TNN military collectors show last week. It's Maker Marked EWALD CLEFF Crossgard stamped Ho. The only problem I see with it is the loose lower screws. There not falling out just loose. I will try to post Dagger pics later. Regards, Jeff

Many have trouble replacing missing screws. It's best to realign the fitting to the underlying scabbard body 1st with a tapered pin. I have a tool specifically for this purpose and it likely has a proper name, sorry don't know what it's called. Finally if you retap the hole with the right tap then use a proper sized screwdriver, you will find the screw fits perfect. smile It's a finesse job not one for a blacksmith!!! grin
Yes, it takes a bit of time with the right tools and the result is an undamaged screw in place. I swear most guys do not use the right tools to do this is the result is a buggered screw that they have forced.
