Hello, My name is Jack and I have a question.
My Grandpa currently owns a SS himmler honor dagger,of this I am sure. He obtained it from a polack that fought in the WWII, and I don't think this is a fake copy, but can you help me with some "basics" that i can look at , to see if it's authentic?

also, It's in Perfect condition, i will try to upload a picture as soon as i can.It has no markings, no pieces that has fallen off,no clear signs of damage, it's basically in really good condition. It has it scabbard left, this aswell in perfect condition. I wonder, how much could this be worth, and how do i/where do i sell it?(Im really new to this, and my english is not the best,so for that i apoligize)

First, it should be made by "Eickhorn." No other maker is known to have made "Himmler" daggers. Photos are needed to explore its authenticity further, as well as its value.

sorry to be the one to tell you, but it is fake,, based on what you wrote, no Himmler dagger has a RZM mark, frown

Sorry for the bad news but it is 100% fake.
The blade has to be from Eickhorn and no other maker marked, neither can it be written with an RZM logo.

Every con artist in the world will tell you that the dagger comes from a WWII veteran.
As they say, " don't believe the story but just the facts ".

Sad to say, it does sound like a fake. M7/36 is not a known SS dagger maker of any type. The marking is found on some SS fake daggers. It would be interesting to see your photos, though. It sounds like it could be an SS honor dagger with a "Himmler" dedication. Several versions of fakes exist in this configuration.

hey guys and thanks for the info. I found a thread here; http://phpstack-500133-1583587.cloudwaysapps.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=240366#Post240366

it LOOKS almost identical to this one, from what i can recall, with the RMZ marking etc, just that it's " m7/36" and not 83.
it has the "meine ehre .." marking.

but as said, i will post some pictures (probably tomorrow) later on.

Jack, the dagger you gave the link to is not a Himmler Honor. what makes you think you have a Himmler Honor dagger. The Himmler Honor dagger has a specific inscription on the reverse blade.

i though the "inscription" was what made it a "himmler" dagger..i read that at another webpage...but i will go and get he dagger now,and take some pictures of it!

Sorry:
Your dagger is a very inexpensive copy which was probably made in Spain. There are many things about it which aren't right but I'll just point one out. No Himmler Honor Dagger was ever made with an RZM stamp on the blade.

well, that is true, but still i am dissapointed. I felt really good, or proud even,to own a real SS dagger, im a big fan or enthusiast of the WW2, not only in daggers, but in other weapons, and battles...

thought i have a friend in finland, who keeps 2 Mosin Nagant - rifles for me, they are pretty cool=)

But still, back to the dagger,i am as said very dissapointed..
