I hope someday we find out the maker for the Rzm 1198/39 ?
Or why the Jacobs & klitterman & moog & Rzm/324 / Rzm 7/29 have the Exclamations point after motto. I like "mystery" codes like that wink

Thank you so much Mac 66 cool

I feel the dagger community on GDC is very slow at the moment.

From now i take a real break from posting. The interest is low in the SS daggers and discussion with other members.

Can anyone tell us why RZM/1316/39 SS Carl Malsch-Spitzer, Steinbach and RZM/1221/39 SS Carl Malsch-Spitzer, Steinbach has two set of RZM numbers for the same year ?, And RZM/1317/40 SS J A Schmidt & Sohn, Solingen , RZM/1222/39 SS J A Schmidt & Sohn, Solingen changed RZM numbers from 39 to 40 ? It seems strange that they got two sets of numbers and when you compare the makers stamps and the styles, they are totally different and dont appear to be made by the same maker?

I believe some one miss typed their info.
I have Tigerwerke as # 1316, has been for years.
#1221 is spitzer. schmidt & sohn is 1222.
1317 was / is still unknown. You would think if this had changed , it would be all all this section of the forum ,with the info. to back it up.
lots of unknowns still on the SS daggers. Plus lots of mis-information no doubt. jeff h.
oh, in reguards to the blue/ black bag; Eickhorn used them early on , mainly with the himmler inscriptions . these ussually, but not always have an additional rubber stamp on them stating these are "special".
maybe this comp. got the left over bags from that printer/ eickhorn " unprinted".
lots of the late rzm bags of the sa , are tan but, devoid of printing. who knows.... j.h.

I found these RZM numbers here in GDC ss daggers rzm codes take a look. It does look like someone made a mistake in there, as the 1316 is also marked rzm 7/68 for Lauterjung & Co. - Tigerwerk, Solingen ......hmmm

Yes i notice that. cool

But for me this dagger is pristine anyway and i know the source where it came from. wink

We have to search and find out more in future Wes. One day the code will found. Very few daggers around of this maker 1317-40 SS

Thanks Wes for your input.

I ask one more time. Is there other members having this maker Rzm 1317 -40 SS in collection ?

In the SS book of TH Wittmann, is there one on Page 176.
