To Vern, Dave, and all GDC Members. With the passing of Eric Wien, I was thinking perhaps it might be a good idea to have a forum "In Memorium" of all GDC members who have left us since Craig started the forum 10 years ago. It could be simple, such as the date they joined, the date of their passing, and maybe their main interest of collecting. After all, some of these guys shared their knowledge with us and left us more informed, better able to detect fakes, up to date with current market conditions, as well as posting items in their collections for all of us to enjoy, etc. They were one of us. We owe them. What do you guys think? Any other suggestions or ideas? Respectfully, Roger Jeandell/ Leipzig

Yes, and a picture would be helpful as well.

Hi all,
I apologize for 1 specific word I used that got corrected out, that was careless of me. Actually, I see, the entire thing got deleted. Ah well ...
I have certain things I feel strongly about, respecting loved people, is 1 of that, and I got bit carried away ... the word I sometimes use on a day, and my emotions made it so it slipped my attention, I guess. Im truly so sorry.

How about a link to an internal page, with a tasteful 'in memory of' graphic with a roll call of names in alphabetical order?

I don't think we have an "internal" page but I will check.
Sad when someone we knew personally or at least saw on the Forum passes on. You feel diminished and wished you had known the guy better. I remember Anthony Carter who was a member but did not post much. If you had a trademark question, he was the man. And beyond GDC, there are many great guys who never visited us who are no longer with us.
That said, typically, memories are pretty short. Anyone remember Barry Morgan the Luger guy? Craig renamed the firearms forum the "Barry Morgan Firearms Forum" when he died. Within a few months I got questions about who he was and was it OK to post regular firearms there.

Yes a lot of good guys have passed. Barry Morgan, definitely a Luger expert and a heck of a guy. He always answered all my beginner questions back in the day. He must have been gone for 7-8 years now. How time sure passes us by. Take everyday by the horns and enjoy the time the good lord gave us. Who has already left us this year Chip Gambino and now Eric. RIP fellas.

The graying of the hobby is relentless, unfortunately.
